Dedication Ceremony of the Amla Drying Facility with a Solar System was held at D. Nagenahalli, Koratagere Taluk, Tumakuru District, Karnataka on 27th October 2025
With support from NMPB RCFC (Southern Region), a farmer (Mr Mahesh N M) from Karnataka has set up a solar dryer unit for Amla value addition. Now, instead of selling raw fruits, he processes them into dried Amla, candy, and powder reducing waste and increasing income sustainably.
A shining example of how value addition in agriculture can truly help in doubling farmers’ income while promoting eco-friendly innovation.
